General Notes
The food here is incredible; this was one of the best brunch experiences I've had in a long time. They're an interesting New American / Asian fusion restaurant. They do a great job of incorporating various components, especially ikura and pickled vegetables, to bring flavor pops and bring balance to dishes. The wait time can be very long and for good reason. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area. They have an online Yelp waitlist, so you can put yourself on the list earlier and plan when you want to arrive.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★★ steelhead & ikura bowl -- yuzu miso marinaded dry aged steelhead, wild marinaded trout roe, organic multigrain rice, market greens, soy egg. The combination of rice, ikura, pickled radish, and greens is SO GOOD and so satisfying. The steelhead is amazing too, although that's more standalone
- ★★★☆ yang's set meal (steak) -- steak is excellent; super tender and flavorful, the chimichurri is awesome. The pickled vegetables are a nice accompaniment. Everything else is okay
- ★★★☆ grilled fish collars -- barracuda, I believe. Very good, not quite as tender as some fish collars I've had in the past but overall excellent
- ★★★★ smoked salmon hash -- smoked salmon belly, preserved meyer lemon creme fraiche, wild salmon or trout roe, house made hash brown, dill, chives. THIS IS SO GOOD
