General Notes

Chinese restaurant that specializes in crab-flavored things. What stood out to me most were definitely the crab roe over (rice, noodles) and the crab roe XLB. Everything else is pretty meh, if you're getting standard Shanghainese style dishes you're probably just getting a slightly worse version of the dish.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ crab roe 生煎包 -- crab roe + pork. Decent but not particularly noteworthy.
  • ★★★☆ rainbow xlb -- crab roe, crab roe + pork, crab roe + duck, 2 of each. I liked the crab roe soup dumpling, that was pretty unique, would get that again. The others were solid.
  • ★★☆☆ crab roe and pork moon cake -- good but it doesn't really go that well with crab roe, it's just ok
  • ★★★☆ crab roe over rice -- One of their flagship dishes and for good reason, very savory and tasty. I'm a big fan of the flavor of crab roe, this was nice. I thought that the sauce could have used a touch more sweetness to balance out.
