A Jewish delicatessen that recently won some kind of award for "best bagels in San Francisco". Given this, I had to go try it out but I slightly disappointed by the experience. They weren't necessarily bad but definitely not "best bagels" level. Interestingly, the Fillmore and Hayes Valley locations are rated substantially lower on Google Maps than the other locations in SF. Their other offerings look quite good (I'm always down for a good reuben) and I'd like to give them a try, but for bagels there are probably better places out there.
> The schmear is creamier and softer than most cream chese I've had in the past, which I really like and works well with the bagel sandwich.
> The bagels are heavily encrusted; I got the everything and onion bagels and there were a LOT of seeds / onion on the outside.
> The bagels themselves were a bit too tough for my taste. Didn't have the pleasant level of chewiness.
