General Notes

I was really skeptical about this place at first. I wondered, how does one even make vegan Chinese food? So many Chinese dishes use small amounts of meat products somewhere in the dish. I was pleasantly surprised -- the food here was actually quite good, definitely much better than expected. Good food and service at a reasonable price point, would come back again after a Hayward R1 session. In general, I think their "vegan chicken" dishes are much better than their "vegan beef" -- the vegan beef just tastes strange. Apparently, they also don't use any onion or garlic in their dishes.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Turnip Cake
  • ★★☆☆ Pan Fried Noodle with Tofu & Curry Sauce
  • ★★☆☆ Vegan Beef Chow Fun
  • ★★☆☆ Veggie Lee Style Fried Rice
  • ★★★☆ Vegan Orange Chicken -- served on a bed of steamed broccoli. Pretty good
  • ★★☆☆ Eggplant in Szechuan Sauce -- okay, the eggplant was a little drowned in sauce, would have liked larger pieces of eggplant and less sauce.
  • ★★★★ Salt and Pepper Vegan Chicken -- fried really well, excellent seasoning.
