General Notes

An great place to get a drink and some good friend with a few friends. The seating is organized kind of like a bar, so it isn't a great place for large parties. I have mixed opinions on the food. The seafood itself was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the risotto that I ordered was not great, although perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing. I would highly recommend giving this place a try, and I'm looking forward to trying more dishes here.

Positives

> The seafood is very fresh, and incredibly delicious. I served at the bar, and the server was extremely knowledgeable about all of the different oysters they served.

Negatives

> Gets pretty crowded, and it's difficult to get seating, particularly for large parties.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★★ Oysters -- Hands down, the best oysters I've ever had. They were super fresh with a wide variety; I never knew how oysters from different places could taste so different. My favorite were the big, salty ones. The littlenecks were also incredible. These were definitely the star of the night.
  • ★★☆☆ Scallops and mushroom brown rice risotto -- The scallops were cooked excellently but the risotto was just strange. There was way too much mushroom, and it overpowered the dish. It's odd that the dish uses brown rice, which made the texture hard, grainy, watery, and lacking in flavor, instead of being creamy and savory. It just felt wrong to me. I suspect that I chose the wrong dish because some of the others (fettucini with clams, octopus, monkfish) looked REALLY good.
