General Notes

As a fair warning, this place is extremely expensive. But if you're in the mood to splurge, this is a great place for both drinks and food. The food is excellent (small plates, which are good for ordering a lot of different dishes for sharing). Also good for celebrations, but perhaps not for dates.

Positives

> The sake and champagne are excellent. This was the first time I had it, and they tasted so smooth.
> Surprisingly, the non-sushi items stood out to me the most - they were inventive and had nice, clean flavors. Of course, the sushi also tasted amazing.

Negatives

> It is quite loud inside, so it can be pretty hard to hold a conversation.
> It is extremely expensive

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★★ Sushi -- We ordered all kinds of nigiri - it was expensive but everything tasted amazing!
  • ★★★★ Kalbi Braised Oxtail
  • ★★★★ Lobster Fried Rice
  • ★★☆☆ Grilled Kama -- The cook on it was decent, but the flavor was a bit lacking. It was also really difficult to eat with all the bones.
  • ★★★★ Brussel Sprouts -- Nicely caramelized with a delicious, unique flavor
  • ★☆☆☆ Wagyu Tartare -- I discovered I don't really like tartare that much. I think that cutting it into tiny pieces really detracts from the flavor and texture, and it didn't have the savory deliciousness I was expecting.
