General Notes

An Asian dessert cafe with influences from Korea, Thailand, and Japan. The desserts are delicious and VERY instagram-friendly. They have the Asian dessert cafe "classics" like golden toast, crepe cakes, and bingsu, but they also have some unique desserts that lean closer to traditional Asian desserts. And all kinds of interesting flavors! The overall experience is not necessarily the best compared to other Asian dessert cafes I've been to, and the quality of the desserts themselves could be better, but the variety and aesthetics of the desserts is hard to beat.

Positives

> The dishes look expensive at first, but the desserts are pretty large -- you can comfortably share a dessert with another person.

Negatives

> The vibe of the place is ... a little bit jank. The lighting is not very inviting, the table and plates are a little wobbly, and they don't have a physical menu anymore. It's like they put all their effort into making the desserts Instagram-friendly and forgot about the rest of the restaurant. Which isn't necessarily bad, just makes the overall experience less notable.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Bread w/ Pandan Sauce -- The pandan sauce had a weird salted egg yolk flavor that I don't think went well with the pandan sauce. Otherwise it was ok; could have used a little toasting on the bread.
  • ★★★☆ Thai Tea Crepe Cake -- Surprisingly a bit too much cream, could have used a little more crepe. The flavor was pretty good though, and the overall texture was excellent.
  • ★★☆☆ Mango Sticky Rice Bingsoo -- One of the better bingsu I've had, although I'm generally not a big fan of bingsu so still not my favorite.
  • ★★★★ Young Coconut Pandan Crepe Cake -- 18 layers of organic coconut pandan crepe cake served with homemade young coconut sauce. Delicious flavor, perfect texture on the crepe cakes, perfect balance of cream / cake.
  • ★★★☆ Honey Brick Toast -- vanilla bean ice cream, almond, mixed berries & banana. Also served with whipped cream, honey drizzle, some kind of condensed milk sauce, and some kind of chocolate flavored crunchy component. Doesn't quite have as much complexity of flavor, but still super delicious
