General Notes

Fantastic restaurant for Korean friend chicken. The interior decor is a unusual - there is a lot of alcohol on shelves with an old library feel. The food is so much better than Bonchon (which relies too heavily on Korean spicy sauce), and the wings/drumsticks here are much larger. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Positives

> Chicken is cooked to order, so it comes out freshly fried and warm.
> Great restaurant for large groups - I came here with a party of around 20 or so one time (although they did slap on a $30 minimum per person to make the reservation)
> Their drinks are quite aesthetic. One thing that was really amusing was the beer tower, which was essentially a glowing, bubbling beer dispenser. I ordered the lychee juice and it came with actual lychees on top, with lychee pulp in the juice.

Negatives

> I would have liked the chicken to have a bit more seasoning and sauce. Just in of itself, it's a bit lacking flavorwise.
> Other than the chicken, the miscellaneous appetizers don't stand out very much. I'd focus primarily on the chicken.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Kimchi Fried Rice -- I'm generally not a big fan of kimchi, but this was generally cooked well. The bacon was a bit disappointing though.
  • ★★★★ Spicy Drumsticks -- Even better. Unlike Bonchon it was the "right kind of spicy" - savory spicy.
  • ★★★☆ Soy Garlic Drumsticks/Wings -- Amazing! Extremely well-fried (crisp but not greasy), super tender and juicy (the juices were literally bursting out), and the flavor was good. I would have liked a slightly stronger flavor, however.
  • ★☆☆☆ Cheese Corn -- Mediocre. There was too much (improperly melted) cheese at the top, and the bottom was watery.
