General Notes
New American restaurant in the heart of downtown Pleasanton. Solid food; not outstanding but above average. Nothing super noteworthy, but a good option if you're in downtown Pleasanton.
Positives
> Huge portions, very reasonable prices considering the portions. No idea why Google Maps has this place as a "$$$" restaurant.
Negatives
> Their bread sucks. There's no sugarcoating it. Has a texture similar to white bread, and they serve cold, butter packets with it.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★☆ Lamb Burger -- Swiss cheese, avocado mayonnaise spread, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles. Pros: best sweet potato fries ever (they have a really nice rough and crispy texture), lamb itself is flavorful and cooked well. Cons: the avocado mayonnaise spread is literally just diced avocado, bun is untoasted (additionally, the lamb was directly on top of the bun, causing the bun to become soft). Great dish overall though. Note: this burger is HUGE.
- ★★☆☆ Arancini -- Fried risotto balls stuffed with mozzarella & feta cheese, sundried tomato, balsamic reduction. The arancini itself is excellent: crispy and creamy with contrast from the stuffed cheese and sundried tomatoes. The rest of the dish is really unnecessary and it could really use some kind of sauce, ideally something acidic to cut through the richness.
