General Notes

Restaurant serving Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki. Hiroshima style differs from the typical Kansai-style okonomiyaki in that it's layered, with each layer cooked separately. So the "pancake" part is actually quite thin, and underneath is a bunch of other stuff, including always having some noodles, typically yakisoba. It's pretty good, but not particularly noteworthy and rarely something I'd crave. It's a little bit annoying to eat as it's structurally not very sound and they only provide two spatulas per table that are quite small and difficult to use effectively.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ mentaiko okonomiyaki -- served with mentaiko mayo on top. Probably my favorite out of them all.
  • ★★☆☆ tontonton special okonomiyaki -- kimchi, cheese, negi. Definitely a very korean flavor profile. Decent, not my favorite though.
  • ★★☆☆ hiroshima okonomiyaki -- not particularly noteworthy, just the basic
  • ★★☆☆ yaki potato salad -- pretty interesting, like a potato salad except blowtorched / grilled on top, quite tasty
