General Notes
I've heard great things about Tilak, but unfortunately the food / flavors just didn't really hit for me. I'd definitely be willing to come back to try some of their other offerings, but my (one) experience here wasn't the best.
Negatives
> Their tables are ... abnormally high. It actually makes for a somewhat uncomfortable eating experience.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★☆ Garlic Naan -- Nice texture. Not a big fan of the relatively raw garlic, but generally delicious.
- ★★☆☆ Saffron Rice -- Solid, but the saffron flavor was a bit too strong against the butter chicken.
- ★☆☆☆ Butter Chicken -- Dark chicken meat in a tomato cashew cream sauce, in our signature blend of spices. The chicken is delightfully tender. The curry is actually too creamy / thick. The flavor feels a bit off; it's too sweet and needs a bit more salt + tomato / acidity.
- ★☆☆☆ Paneer Pakora -- Indian cottage cheese fried in a fritter with chickpea flour. Not a great dish; this just doesn't really work. Not getting this in the future.
