General Notes

When we were entering the restaurant someone told us that the food here was "really good". That person is nuts; the food here is not "really good". It's probably one of the least good restaurants I've been to in a while, although that's roughly in line with what I'd expect from a restaurant in the middle of nowhere.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★☆☆☆ creme brulee -- it's not properly torched, although the cream part is good.
  • ☆☆☆☆ salmon -- grilled salmon topped with lemon beurre blanc sauce served with risotto and vegetable of the day. The salmon is dry and overcooked, the risotto is so thick and gummy and gross.
  • ★☆☆☆ ribeye -- 12oz grilled ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes, vegetable of the day, 4-peppercorn compound butter. The ribeye is really thin and lacks a great sear, although it's reasonably tender / juicy for what you get. The rest is meh
  • ★★☆☆ fried brussel sprouts -- roasted and deep fried brussels tossed with crispy pork lardons and seasoned maple syrup. Fried very well, although I'm not a fan of the lardons (they use pork belly instead of bacon, and they're way too big), and the sauce is too sweet.
