General Notes

The Palm Court at RH is quietly one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. It's nestled inside the Restoration Hardware showroom. The first thing that you'll notice is the entire building, including the restaurant, is absolutely beautiful. The whole place exudes a warm, vibrant luxury. I love the chandelier, palm trees, and fountain in the center of the dining area. The service is delightful and all of the waitstaff are super friendly. And finally, the food is incredible. I was a little bit unsure going into this experience, since the menu seems somewhat "boring" at first glance, but everything is so delicious and executed to perfection. Everything looks so good, and I'm excited to try some of their other offerings (the branzino and burger come to mind). This is also one of the best date ideas I've seen -- great food, beautiful venue, excellent rooftop bar, and a lot of bougie furniture to window shop. I will definitely be returning.

Positives

> RH is an excellent option for brunch, honestly moreso than for dinner. The brunch menu is a lot more affordable, you get to fully experience the nice natural lighting, and they've recently added a bunch of new items to their brunch menu!

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★★ Latkes + Smoked Salmon -- latkes, smoked salmon, chives creme fraiche. Never thought to put latkes and smoked salmon on the same plate, but it goes well since they both pair with creme fraiche! Latkes are fried beautifully, smoked salmon has an excellent texture and isn't too salty. Dish is a little bit on the smaller side, so you may want to order something else along with it.
  • ★★★★ Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich -- organic jidori chicken, butter, arugula, charred ciabatta. One of the best sandwiches I've had, maybe other than the sandwiches at Plow (which have a very similar feel to them!). The chicken is incredibly juicy and flavorful. The arugula adds a nice counter-balance. The bread itself has a perfect texture, and the butter adds a nice touch.
  • ★★★★ Fresh Burrata -- heirloom & cherry tomatoes, rustic pesto. Simple but SO GOOD; the burrata is delightfully creamy, tomatoes are top notch (maybe due to the season), and the pesto ties everything together wonderfully.
  • ★★★☆ Whole Smashed Avocado -- charred ciabatta, aged balsamic. Excellent flavor, simple and delicious!
  • ★★★☆ Belgian Waffle -- rustic country style, butter, maple syrup. This is one of the better waffles I've had in a long time -- delightfully crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
  • ★★★☆ French Omelette -- gournay cheese and fines herbs. Prepared really well -- soft, buttery, and delightfully flavorful.
  • ★★★☆ Wagyu Ribeye Sandwich -- 6oz Australian wagyu, caramelized onion, aioli, charred ciabatta. The aioli and caramelized onions are classic accompaniments to a steak sandwich and are SO good. The ribeye itself is solid but around what you'd expect. The bread was maybe a _touch_ too charred for my taste, but otherwise an amazing dish!
  • ★★★★ Caesar Salad -- 1950s style, anchovies, crouton. Prepared super well, definitely one of the best caesar salads I've had. I love the intensity of flavor in the croutons
  • ★★★☆ Truffle Fries -- definitely not worth the $20 by any stretch of the imagination (the meal was covered by my company), but the fries themselves were delicious. The aioli that it's served with hits hard.
