General Notes

Waterfront seafood restaurant in Morro Bay. The views are quite nice but the food is entirely pedestrian, about what you'd expect for most restaurants of this nature.

Dishes Tasted

  • ☆☆☆☆ Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl -- coconut rice, cucumber salad, avocado, toasted sesame seeds and almonds. Aside from the coconut in the coconut rice this has no flavor at all.
  • ★☆☆☆ Swordfish -- "naked fish", i.e. fish with as little processing as possible. Just simply grilled / seared with salt + a few spices, served with mixed vegetables and fries. The swordfish is alright (a tad overcooked), the fries are surprisingly excellent, the mixed vegetables are alright.
  • ★★★☆ Oysters -- Grassy bar oysters, around $20 for a half dozen. Very good quality oysters -- they're apparently harvested right nearby in Morro Bay. The company itself is called "Grassy Bar" and they have a shop nearby, I might go there in the future for their oysters rather than come to the restaurant.
