General Notes

Solid Korean restaurant in the sunset. The seafood pancake and crew wings were standouts; everything else was okay to decent. They have pretty much everything on their menu that you'd expect at a typical Korean restaurant in the US that leans more towards the pocha side. They also have a lot of unique makgeolli drinks, probably what they're most well known for (especially their honeycomb makgeolli, which is just ... honeycomb and makgeolli lol). A little bit on the louder side, good option for groups.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ budae jigae -- pretty standard budae jigae, good but not particularly inspiring.
  • ★★★★ seafood pancake -- one of the best seafood pancakes I've had. Fried really well, the exterior is delightfully crisp. At the same time, the seafood itself is cooked perfectly, not overcooked at all.
  • ★★☆☆ pink rose tteokbokki -- mildly spicy and creamy, with fish cake, rice cake, and mini beef sausages. Overall pretty solid
  • ★☆☆☆ pork belly -- it was alright, pretty pedestrian for pork belly. The dipping sauce to go with it was good, though
  • ★★★☆ the crew wings -- garlic flavor. Very good -- fried well, flavorful, and tender. Definitely very strong garlic flavor.
