General Notes

An interesting restaurant that claims to sell "ramen with a soul". The restaurant itself has a very modern vibe - you actually order on tablets, present your receipt to a waiter, and then get seated. The food is also quite good, and the ramen options are pretty nontraditional. Their style of ramen doesn't fully align with my preference, but I would recommend giving this place a try.

Positives

> I really enjoyed the interior - very spacious and modern by East Village standards, with seaweed, sesame, and various sauces as optional toppings on the table.
> As they claim on their website, the broth is truly the star of the dish. I ordered the bold ramen, which has various spices and a spicy kick to it, and the broth was intensely flavorful and savory.

Negatives

> Their noodles are quite thin. This is a great place if that is your personal preference, but I like my ramen noodles much thicker and with more of a chewy resistance.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Bold Ramen -- Delicious broth (I really like the spices and other flavors). The egg was a bit bland and way too soft. The noodles are well-cooked but too thin for my preference and have a strange flavor to them. The meat is decent but could be a bit more tender.
