It's a close toss-up between this kiskuke and gyutan kaku as my favorite gyutan place. This place is REALLY popular. The first time we tried to go during the day (14:30 or so) there was roughly a 2-3 hour wait. We ended up getting here right before opening to put our name down, and even then we still waited around 30-40 minutes before getting a seat. The gyutan is straight up incredible. We ordered three different kinds -- thinly sliced, thick sliced, and premium. Each had its own unique appeal. The thinly sliced one was really well flavored + charred. I liked how the thick sliced one had a bouncy and juicy texture. The premium one was pricey but it combined the best of both worlds. The premium gyutan was easily one of the best things I've ever tasted, it was that good. Each set menu is served with pickled vegetables, miso-pickled vegetables, salad, rice, and tail soup, and you can additionally order a la carte as well.
