General Notes
Tamper Room is a delightful new cafe that recently opened in Fremont's Pacific Commons. Everything about this cafe is wonderful -- good drinks, delicious food (the croffles are fantastic), spacious, and nice ambiance. It also doubles as an art gallery -- there are a lot of small artists selling their products, like stickers, pins, prints, cards, and earrings here. The art style is super wholesome and very cute. I will definitely be returning in the future when I need a cafe to work at in Fremont, and to try their other croffles!
Dishes Tasted
- ★★☆☆ Tomato Mozzarella Croffle -- a bit uninteresting; the texture of the croffle is nice and works well here (it's definitely got quite a bit of cheese inside), but it feels like it's missing a little something
- ★★★☆ Matcha Berry Croffle -- decent flavor, not much in the way of berries but solid.
- ★★★☆ Hazelnut Mocha -- overall, good, well-balanced drink! a little on the sweeter side, which I think works well with this particular drink. I wish there were a touch more hazelnut flavor, but that's a minor nit.
- ★★☆☆ Ube Panna Cotta -- The ube flavor is fairly pronounced, which I like. The texture of the panna cotta leaves a bit to be desired; it's a bit too close in cnsistency to jello for my taste.
- ★★★☆ Yuzu Avocado Croffle -- Toasted croissant waffle topped with yuzu avocado mash, fresh avocado, sprouts, tomatoes, and microgreens. Nice refreshing flavor combination!
- ★★★☆ Ube Yam Jam Croffle -- Toasted croissant waffle topped with ube custard, purple yam jam, coconut flakes, condensed milk, strawberry garnish. The custard / jam was slightly too thick for my taste, but the overall flavor was wonderful. The texture of the croffle was really good.
- ★★★☆ Honey Lavender Latte -- a good, solid honey lavender latte. Slightly too sweet for my taste, but otherwise the drink is great! Wonderful ceramics too
