General Notes

Tadaima is a cute new cafe that recently opened in the heart of the mission. It's cool that it's right next to okaeri ("I'm back" and "Welcome back" respectively!). This place is super busy -- I waited for 30 minutes during peak times on a Saturday. The chicken katsu sando was really good though, probably worth the wait. I've heard meh reviews about their matcha but the chicken katsu sando is definitely the star of the show. There isn't much seating at all, but you can bring your food over to Mission Playground Park nearby to enjoy it.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★★ Chicken Katsu Sando -- chicken katsu, house sauce, lettuce, leek karaage. I like the addition of lettuce instead of cabbage, and the house sauce is excellent. Chicken is fried well + juicy + flavorful, the leeks are a nice touch too.
  • ★★★☆ Onigiri (miso snow crab)
  • ★★★☆ Onigiri (yuzu salmon) -- nice flavor, the yuzu adds a nice touch and there's a little creaminess to the salmon filling
  • ★★★☆ Kinako Cream Latte -- it's nice that they have this (and the black sesame latte) as a decaf drink option, pretty tasty
