General Notes

The second of the three taco places that my friend took me to on the Redwood City taco tour. This place appears to be rated pretty highly, but honestly I didn't enjoy it quite as much as the others. My main complaint is their tortillas -- they have a very weird, moist, spongelike texture, more closely resembling something like injera. It is definitely not the ideal vessel for tacos.

Dishes Tasted
  • ★☆☆☆ Barbacoa -- Essentially a large bowl of barbacoa, served with a bunch of tortillas and classic accompaniments (onion, lime, salsas, etc). I'm not a fan of their tortillas, and the barbacoa itself was mediocre, flavorwise.
  • ★★★☆ Quesabirria -- First time having quesabirria, I enjoyed it quite a lot. Overall, nice flavor, wonderful crispy (but not crunchy) tortilla, contrasted by the cheese and filling.
