General Notes

Sweet Glory is a fairly new dessert shop in the Tenderloin. They feature a lot of Asian flavors like pandan, and their crepe cakes are definitely their flagship items. The first time I came here, I just came to buy some boxes that they use to sell to-go crepe cake slices (I made a tiramisu crepe cake myself and wanted a nice container for them). I came back again to try some of their offerings and they're pretty solid! The employees here are super nice, and I'll definitely visit again to try some of their other offerings.

Positives

> The employees are super friendly! They were willing to sell me the crepe cake boxes at $1 a piece, and they're really aesthetic! They've even got the ribbon handles.
> They have a lot of interesting drinks, that all sound really really good.

Negatives

> It is located at the outer edge of the Tenderloin, so the area can get a little sussy at times.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Pandan Coconut Crepe Cake -- coconut sauce, pandan coconut custard, pandan coconut pastry cream, pandan crepe. Nice flavor, the coconut meat sauce is a nice touch. The crepes themselves are a touch firmer than I'd expect from a crepe cake.
  • ★★★☆ Salted Egg Yolk Croissant -- A smallish croissant, stuffed with salted egg yolk filling. The filling is pretty cracked, it's so good! Like the pandan croissant, the croissant itself is a little too dry for my taste though.
  • ★★☆☆ Durian Crepe Cake -- The crepe cake itself is really, really good! This was my first time trying durian ... and I have mixed feelings about it. It has an oddly savory taste. At times it felt like it tasted pretty good, but other times not so much.
  • ★★☆☆ Pandan Croissant -- A smallish croissant, stuffed with pandan filling. The pandan filling itself was quite nice, the croissant was a bit too dry for my taste.
