General Notes
New dumpling restaurant that opened up in Stonestown, near Tang Bar and Le Soleil. Overall, the food is pretty solid, it's worth a try if you're already in stonestown. The line is VERY long though, you can expect a pretty substantial wait if you put yourself down on the waitlist. They don't have a ton of availability for reservations.
Negatives
> The service is very ... questionable. Maybe it's because the restaurant is new, but the drinks came out really, really slowly (some of them came out after all of the food already came out). A bunch of things randomly became out of stock half way through. And the servers all seemed like they felt quite rushed,
Dishes Tasted
- ★★☆☆ stir-fried green beans -- well-cooked, although i'm not a big fan of the accompaniments
- ★★★☆ steamed chicken soup -- solid soup
- ★★★☆ tan tan noodles -- quite good
- ★★☆☆ black truffle and vegetable fried rice -- pretty decent, you can actually taste the truffle flavor.
- ★★★☆ pork chop fried rice -- pork chop is excellent and plentiful, fried rice is ok
- ★★★★ spicy cucumber salad -- delicious, definitely one of the better cucumber salads I've had. The chili oil is excellent.
- ★★★☆ braised beef shank -- not usually a big fan of this, but this was surprisingly good
- ★★★★ fried pork chop -- this is DELICIOUS, cooked very well
- ★★★☆ shrimp and pork wontons
- ★☆☆☆ pan-fried leek pie -- too doughy at the bottom, otherwise decent
- ★★☆☆ pan-fried pork buns -- the crispy texture is nice, although its shape is not really amenable to pan-frying
- ★★☆☆ pork xlb -- pretty solid although not a lot of juice
