General Notes

Came here for brunch on a weekday. Overall, the food was decent but the experience was pretty bad. Service was slow, and there was a tag on my tomato in the heirloom tomatoes + burrata (it wasn't removed properly). I informed the waitress, who did something pretty strange (just took away the single piece of tomato that had the tag, instead of taking away the whole thing). I expected them to come back with some new information, like that they'd come back to me with a new dish, but I didn't hear anything for like 10 minutes ... until I went up to them and told them to not make a new dish. And finally at that point they offered me a comped dessert. Not sure what all the servers are doing back here because there were a bunch of them and none of them seemed to be doing anything useful.


Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Basque Cheesecake -- lavender blackberry. Excellent texture, yummy.
  • ★★★☆ Potato Pancake -- wild mushrooms, stepladder fromage blanc, arugula, parmigiano. Fried well, excellent texture.
  • ★☆☆☆ Heirloom Tomatoes + Burrata -- balsamic vinegar, tuscan olive oil, basil. Decent, although the tomatoes were not particularly noteworthy. They didn't pop with tomato flavor.
