General Notes

From what I can tell, Souvla is a bit of a quintessential SF restaurant, sort of in the upper echelon of fast casual restaurants. I had high expectations but was mildly disappointed. I tried the lamb, but from what I've heard the pork and chicken are better options, so I might try one of those in the future. This place has quite a few locations, I've been to the Hayes Valley and Dogpatch locations.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★☆☆☆ Lamb (Sandwich) -- thomas farms lamb leg, harissa-spiked yogurt, cucumber, radish, pickled red onion, feta cheese. The overall flavor combination of the dish was decent, but the lamb was dry and cold.
  • ★★★☆ Greek Fries -- olive oil, lemon juice, parsley, mizithra cheese. Pretty solid, good texture on the fries. The parsley in particular adds a nice touch.
