AYCE "omakase" sushi restaurant. This place is strange and uniquely wonderful. The 90m experience is separated into two sections. First, there's the omakase section, in which the chef presents ~10pc of various nigiri. Then, there's the AYCE portion, in which you can order any number of lean tuna, fatty tuna, and wagyu, but the catch is that you can only order each one once and in that order. I ended up getting 5 lean tuna, 11 toro, 15 wagyu. At $98, it was honestly incredible bang for my buck. I came out of the experience feeling satiated and comfortably full, which is something I've never felt from omakase. Don't come here expecting a traditional omakase experience though. The way I'd describe it is that it "feels more like a club than an omakase experience" -- there's (not super loud) banger music, in addition to the sushi chefs there are hosts who explain the experience and pour guests sake, the employees drink with you (oh, and it's also all you can drink of various kinds of sake). It's a little more ratchet, with less focus on meticulous attention to detail and more detail on the quantity.
This was a great combination / experience for me, would definitely do again. My favorites were the ocean trout, scallop, and toro. I also liked that they made extensive use of the blowtorch; the toro and wagyu were both seared to perfection.
