General Notes

Soothr has already received many accolades during its short tenure, and for good reason -- the food is absolutely incredible. They market themselves as a Thai Noodle bar, with a variety of noodle dishes with influences from different regions of Thailand. Several of my friends have recommended Soothr, and it definitely didn't disappoint. I will definitely be returning to try some of their other offeirngs.

Positives

> The servers here are collectively one of the most attractive groups of servers I've ever seen. I literally could not stop thinking about this when I was there.

Negatives

> It's a pretty loud, crowded, bustling environment. Probably good for a larger, more rowdy group but personally not my favorite environment for a date or a small group meetup.
> It gets pretty busy -- would definitely recommend trying to get a reservation if you can. I came here at like 9:30 / 10:00 on a Wednesday by myself and was seated immediately, but most of the tables were still occupied.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Chicken Khao Soi -- Northern-style curry, egg noodles, crispy skin and juicy tender chicken, pickled radish, and crispy egg noodles. Great dish, overall! The chicken has a perfect consistency and flavor. The chicken is indeed very tender, as promised. The egg noodles are solid, but I wouldn't necessarily say exceptionally noteworthy.
  • ★★★★ Roasted Eggplant Salad -- lemongrass, shallot, mint, chili powder, puffy rice, and fried poached egg. This dish is absolutely INCREDIBLE. So refreshing and flavorful. The textures with the crispy shallot and puffy rice also work together beautifully. The only thing is that I wish there were a touch more roasted flavor on the eggplant.
