General Notes
Excellent restaurant in Hongdae specializing in dakgalbi. They have an extremely simple menu: dakgalbi with various add-ons (e.g. cheese, noodles, rice cakes, etc), and a very reasonable price per person. You can also add on things like fried rice (cooked using the leftover juices) if you wish. They do one thing and they do it well. I had dakgalbi twice in Korea, and I preferred this one. Never had it in the US, but essentially it's a stir-fried chicken dish with potato, cabbage, miscellaneous add-ons, cooked in a gochujang-based sauce. It's delicious and I'm inspired to try making this at home.
