General Notes

Senor Sisig is an interesting Mexican / Filipino fusion. This restaurant actually originated as a food truck, and over time it's grown and expanded. The food is fairly affordable (just a touch more expensive than the taquerias nearby), and pretty good -- give it a try! There's a number of locations across SF.

Positives

> They have a lovely outdoor patio in the back. It's sandwiched between two taller neighboring buildings, and it has a nice vibe.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Tosilog Burrito -- Filipino sweet pork, adobo garlic rice, fresh tomatoes, and a fried egg, served with side of peppered vinegar. This combination is fantastic -- the sweet pork and tomato really bring all the flavors together into balance.
  • ★★★☆ Senor Sisig Burrito -- pork, adobo garlic rice, pinto beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, cilantro cream sauce. Delightful -- each component is wonderful and the burrito is overall quite well-balanced
  • ★★★☆ Sisig Tacos -- pork, 6" corn tortilla, onions, lettuce, fresh jalapenos, and cilantro cream sauce. The lettuce and cilantro cream sauce makes a world of difference -- I find most tacos to be overly drying and lacking some acidity or creaminess, but this really hit the mark.
