General Notes
Surprisingly very reasonably priced, considering the atmosphere of the restaurant and the amount of food in each portion. There wasn't anything particularly standout, but overall the food was decent.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★☆☆ lomo saltado -- wok-seared tenderloin, soy and oyster sauce, red onions, tomato petals, served with jasmine rice and fries. Overall quite good, the rice was a bit undercooked and the sauce was a bit overly salty and could have been reduced a bit more to conmingle with everything better. The cook on the beef was very good, though.
- ★★★☆ vegetales salteados -- stir-fried seasonal vegetables, soy and oyster sauce. A bit watery but actually stir-fried really well. These onions were delicious.
- ★☆☆☆ yuca a la huancaina -- golden fried yuca, huancaina sauce. Yuca felt mealy (still haven't found yuca fries better than the ones I made), huancaina sauce felt underseasoned
- ★★☆☆ corazon anticucho -- grilled beef heart, potatoes, choclo, anticuchera sauce, aji de la casa. Cooked pretty well but didn't quite have that savory deliciousness to it that I had elsewhere
- ★☆☆☆ ceviche sampler -- tradicional, cremoso, callejero. The fish feels under-marinaded and isn't particularly special, with too much other random stuff
