General Notes
Pineapple King Bakery is well renowned for their ... well, pineapple buns. Compared to other pineapple buns I've had before, what stands out is how soft and fluffy the bread is. It doesn't quite have the crunch / textural contrast of the top that I look for, but it's overall a nice texture. I'm also a HUGE fan of the butter slabs in the pineapple bun. I'm not entirely sure why it's inserted diagonally instead of flat (horizontally) though, which makes it less uniformly distributed across the bun. Definitely worth a visit, perhaps some day when you're exploring around Golden Gate Park or Inner Sunset.
