General Notes

The 京东肉饼 here was really disappointing. Which is a shame because the other dishes were actually quite good. This was my first time trying mushu pork and I enjoyed it a lot. Vibes of this place are kind of like a sit-down restaurant in China, with the dining room segmented into several distinct parts. They do have quite a few interesting dishes that are hard to find elsewhere, like their 炒饼 (which on xhs is supposedly quite good)

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ 北京木须肉 -- First time having this dish, essentially a stir-fried dish with pork slivers, egg, cucumber, wood ear fungus, and a few other miscellaneous things. The sauce is delicious, goes super well with rice. The rest of the components are unnecessary to be honest. Will definitely try to make this at home in the future.
  • ★★☆☆ 炸羊肉串 -- Pretty decent, a lot of fat on these pieces of lamb which is what I like
  • ☆☆☆☆ 京东肉饼 -- Very disappointing. The beef filling was pretty flavorless and didn't have that savory mouth feel to it. The bread part was a bit soft and mediocre as well.
  • ★☆☆☆ 拍黄瓜 -- too salty
