General Notes

Parker is exactly what you'd expect from a "hip" Californian restaurant. According to Google Maps, Parker is a "cozy Californian corner spot restaurant featuring comfort food dishes made with local ingredients". The emphasis on healthy and local ingredients is very apparent -- dishes make heavy use of avocado, quinoa, and all kinds of miscellaneous vegetables. Unfortunately, the food tastes worse than it looks online. I came here for brunch and was disappointed. There are better options nearby -- try Chez Maman right across the street.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★☆☆☆ Breakfast Tartine -- Cheddar cheese, goat cheese, avocado, poached egg, chives, drizzled with tapatio. Not a great dish. Flavor is unbalanced (too sour, not much to contrast). The cheddar and tapatio overpower the other components. Poached egg was quite undercooked. The structure and presentation of the dish makes it very messy to eat and very hard to get a bite of everything at once.
