General Notes
An excellent Jewish deli for brunch or lunch. This is one of the few restaurants I've ever seen of its kind. The prices are pretty reasonable and most of the sandwich options are amazing. They also have a store inside and extensive takeout options. I would definitely recommend checking this place out!
Dishes Tasted
- ★★☆☆ Potato Knish -- The texture is quite nice - crispy, flaky pastry contrasted with the soft, fluffy potato interior. Unfortunately, the dish is quite bland (I suppose I shouldn't be surprised since the filling is almost entirely potato, with not much onion). The mustard gives it a nice kick but it needs more. I might try the meat knish next time.
- ★★★★ Reuben -- Well-toasted bread smeared with butter, flavorful and tender meats, with a good ratio of cheese and sauerkraut.
- ★★★★ Smoked Salmon Bagel -- Each individual component was excellent, and the smoked salmon itself was delicious.
- ★☆☆☆ Latkes -- Not good. The dish is served with sour cream and applesauce. As a whole, everything is really bland and the potatoes are over-crisped. All you can taste is the crispy/burnt bits.
