General Notes
Absolutely delicious food and generous portions at a very reasonable price point. I came here once with a group of 4, and I'm really glad I did. Their menu contains a bit of everything, with an emphasis on dumplings / other dim-sum like dishes like scallion pancakes. I haven't really tried enough of the menu to determine what their specialties are, but according to their website their specialties are their pork dumplings, beef wrap, spicy wontons, green onion fried panckae, dried scallop fried rice, and house stir fried udon.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★★★ 大豆秒 -- These are probably the best pea shoots I've ever had, period. Perfectly cooked, just the right amount of liquid, and well flavored with salt + garlic.
- ★★☆☆ 上海炒年糕 -- This dish could use a touch more sauce to lubricate all the ingredients, but overall delicious + well flavored with good textures.
- ★★★★ 葱油饼 -- Probably some of the best scallion pancakes I've ever had. These aren't really so scallion-forward, it's moreso the way the fry the pancakes that are SO good. Intensely savory with an excellent crispy texture.
- ★★★☆ 牛肉卷并 -- Could use a tiny touch more hoisin sauce, but that's a minor nit. The pancake is incredible, and the beef is actually incredibly tender, which was a pleasant surprise. Most of the time when I have this dish the beef is hard and tough.
- ★★★☆ 生煎包 -- Solid dish. I've had better (it's hard to beat the ones at Tasty Noodle), but I do really like how the bottom is crusted with sesame seeds!
- ★☆☆☆ 小笼包 -- These were a little disappointing -- most of these didn't have very much soup in them at all
