General Notes

Overall pretty solid food but way, way overpriced. I would consider coming here for lunch, for which they have some pretty solid lunch specials, but definitely not for dinner in the future. I would suggest trying Ebisu as an alternative, which has similar quality food but is much, much more affordable.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★☆☆☆ Miso Gindara -- Way too sweet, and could use a bit more heat on the skin-side to crisp it up slightly, which had a somewhat unpleasant texture. But the fish itself was so incredibly tender and juicy.
  • ★☆☆☆ Amaebi -- I was a bit disappointed, it was a bit more slimy than I was hoping for, the texture wasn't as great. There was also too much wasabi.
  • ★★★☆ Hotate -- The hotate itself is delightful, the nigiri itself is a bit underseasoned though, and the rice could use a bit more vinegar + be a bit warmer
  • ★★☆☆ Salmon Skin Temaki -- The salmon skin is actually a bit too crispy for my taste, and doesn't really have much savory feel to it. But overall pretty solid
  • ★★★☆ Mixed Tempura -- Beautifully fried; lovely texture. I would have liked the vegetable tempura to be seasoned a bit more, but otherwise fantastic.
  • ★★★☆ Wakame Salad -- Solid dish; very nice flavor
