General Notes

Relatively new Middle Eastern restaurant, probably most well known for their "mezze brunch" tasting menu. The mezze brunch is a nice option since it allows you to try a whole bunch of their different dishes. The vibes of the place are definitely cutesy / artsy brunch atmosphere, with a decent amount of green / plants. Overall, the food was excellent, and I'd love to come back to try some of their other offerings. The menu is pretty expansive, with a lot of (probably) unfamiliar dishes.

Positives

> Their dips (especially the muhammara and fuul) are incredible.
> I don't remember exactly what the dish was called, but as part of the mezze brunch there was this cubed crispy potato dish that was INCREDIBLE. It was like a cracked hash brown -- perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, and intensely savory.

Negatives

> Their breads, and their pitas in particular are pretty unspectacular. Kind of dry / cold / not very fluffy. The crispy bread (I forget what it's called) is good though.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Rice Pudding -- rice pudding, orange blossom, pistachio, ...? I forget what exactly was in this dish. It has a decent flavor but is a little too thick for my taste. It has a consistency kind of like a not very creamy mashed potatoes.
  • ★★★☆ Mezze Brunch -- seasonal fresh fruit crudite & pickles, house-made bread, falafel, hummus, muhammara, fuul, roasted corn, falafel, some crispy potato dish
  • ★★★★ Rose Brulee Cappucino -- incredible drink. Rose flavor, sweetness level (it's on the sweeter side), and milk foam are just right. Brulee is a nice touch.
