A very unique concept - based on the Love Art brand also behind Love Art Sushi, Love Art Udon offers udon in a fast-casual setting with customizable bowls. I like the idea and the food is quite affordable, but the food is relatively ... unremarkable. The unfortunate truth is that noodles dishes (especially hot items, tempura, and fried items) really don't work very well pre-made. The udon just doesn't have that oomph that a freshly prepared dish would have. Still probably worth a try though.
> The bowls are customizable! They have a bunch of preset orders, which are probably more cost efficient, but you can also design your bowl to your own preference.
> Reasonably affordable (~$10 per bowl, before additions)
> Noodles don't quite have the chewy texture that I look for in udon - my noodles were slightly overcooked.
> Fried items (croquette, shrimp tempura) were pretty disappointing, definitely underseasoned and not great cold.
