General Notes

Kind of like the seafood counter part to Los Tacos No.1. It's kind of tricky to find and not quite as popular as Los Tacos No.1, but don't let that fool you - the food is incredible and Los Mariscos offers some of the best Mexican seafood at its price point. Hands down the best fish taco I've had, and the ceviche is great as well. I'd absolutely recommend giving this place a try for a snack or a casual meal.

Positives

> Los Mariscos expertly employs textural contrasts and balance to deliver amazing dishes. Each dish layers acidity to brighten the dish and highlight the savory components, such as through lime juice or acidic sauces. Textural contrasts (crisp, soft, grainy, crunchy, tender) excite the palate and make the experience so much more enjoyable.

Negatives

> This is not the place if you're looking for a conventional sit-down restaurant - the place is very loud and does not have the most comfortable seating.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Ceviche Especial -- Excellent texture on the seafood and really flavorful. The crispy taco adds a nice textural contrast. The richness and flavor of the avocado pair nicely with the seafood as well. I wish the seafood were ever so slightly less acidic, but otherwise a perfect dish.
  • ★★★★ Fish Taco -- The best fish taco I've ever had. The fish was incredibly tender and flavorful, and crisp on the outside. The toppings added a nice textural contrast, and the flavors of the sauces complemented the dish nicely.
