General Notes

My first time having a high tea experience, and it was incredibly grand. The interior was ornate and intricately decorated (although not really my style, I guess I prefer a more modern warm vibe). Excellent service, I felt like I was treated like royalty. I came here with a pretty large group (around 12) for a birthday celebration. They have a specific part of their website for "Planning a Tea Party", definitely accommodating for large parties. I think we got the "Duchess' Delight" for everyone, along with three different teas.

Overall, the food was okay, not particularly noteworthy. Surprisingly, the teas I found to also just be okay. I expected them to be really good but I guess I prefer teas with less added stuff like different fruit flavors and whatnot. A good experience, but definitely more a place you'd go for the experience and less for the food / drink itself.

Positives

> They have quite a few herbal / decaffeinated teas, which I'm grateful for as someone who's very sensitive to caffeine.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ trio of desserts -- canele, blueberry cheesecake, and something else. it was ok
  • ★★☆☆ cucumber mint sandwich
  • ★★☆☆ sundried tomato & goat cheese sandwich
  • ★★☆☆ artichoke parmesan sandwich
  • ★★★☆ savory quiche (bacon & onion)
  • ★☆☆☆ Fresh scone with Devonshire cream & preserves -- the accompaniments were good but this was truly quite dry, nothing like the arsicault scones I've had.
