General Notes

For some reason, this restaurant is really popular, and it's a bit like a "flagship" seafood restaurant with many locations throughout Boston. In my opinion, the food embodies the American cuisine stereotype of "rich but bland". The menu consists of tons of fried foods or simple preparations of fish that are simply flavorless. It's a bit overpriced but the portions are pretty large. I would not recommend coming here, although chances are you'll probably come here at some point for a large group dinner or something.

Positives

> They do have a $1 oyster happy hour from 3-6pm on Wednesdays, so that might be worth checking out if you're craving oysters.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Oysters -- The oysters here are not great. A couple of mine had a lot of sand/grit inside of them.
  • ☆☆☆☆ Seafood Casserole -- This dish was a bland and soupy mess. Don't order this.
  • ★★☆☆ Calamari -- Pretty good
  • ★★★☆ Smoked Salmon & Toast -- Large portion, great appetizer
  • ★☆☆☆ Lobster Roll -- The roll is fairly simple, which does make the flavor of the lobster stand out. Unfortunately, the lobster was overcooked, and the butter completely disintegrated the bun, making it impossible to eat.
