General Notes
I am a bit surprised at how high the ratings on Google are for this place. The food is solid but VERY expensive for what you get, and nothing really stands out all that much. I definitely wouldn't come back on my own accord, but for a sponsored dinner it was pretty good .
Negatives
> The non-alcoholic drinks are really uninspiring. Don't get them.
Dishes Tasted
- ★★☆☆ floating island -- floating island, vanilla anglaise sauce, caramel, almonds. The "floating islands" is like a meringue that has a consistency like a marshmallow. The flavor combinations are nice and it's surprisingly light. Good option for a lighter dessert.
- ★★★☆ braised oxtail -- braised oxtail, red wine, carrots, mashed potato puree. Oxtail was pretty tender, sauce had an excellent consistency, nice mashed potatoes.
- ★★☆☆ pommes frites truffes -- french fries, white alba truffle oil, parmesan. Very crispy fries, if you like that you'll enjoy them. I thought they were decent.
- ★★☆☆ salade de petite laitue -- little gem salad, onion, parmesan, lemon olive oil. pretty good
- ★★☆☆ foies de volailles -- chicken liver mousse, crostini. It was pretty good, not particularly noteworthy though
- ★★☆☆ tarte tatin a l'oignon -- caramelized onion tart, goat cheese, esplette
- ★★☆☆ escargots baume -- escargots, garlic, leek, parsley, brick wafer. it's decent, not particularly noteworthy though
