General Notes

A small gelato stand situated at the western end of Chelsea Market. What I love the most about this place is the flavors that they offer. They aren't over the top or outlandish like many other hip ice cream shops. All of the flavors are simple, traditional, and delicious. Nothing crazy, which allows you to appreciate the creaminess of the gelato itself. I would recommend giving this place a visit if you're craving some dessert in Chelsea Market!

Positives

> As I mentioned, I love the selection of flavors. It isn't too large nor too small. The flavors are also very simple, traditional, and delicious. I think I've made this pretty clear by now, but I love shops which are able to execute simple dishes with tremendous precision.
> The texture of the gelato itself is amazing. It's creamy and incredibly smooth.

Negatives

> The only downside that I can think of is that service is pretty slow. The servers are not very good at parallelizing, and the process of shaping the gelato into a round scoop is pretty time consuming.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Panna Cotta Gelato -- Milk cream and caramel. Very good (I'm almost always a fan of caramel in desserts), but it was not as spectacular as the other two.
  • ★★★★ Cinnamon Gelato -- Really intense cinnamon flavor. It pairs well with the creamy gelato. Would recommend!
  • ★★★★ Olive Oil Gelato -- I was a little skeptical at first, but I really loved this. The texture is still that of a gelato, but I found the flavor to be absolutely amazing. It really did taste like olive oil and paired really well with the gelato. I'm always amazed at how olive oil pairs well with other items which are primarily fat, like avocado or mozzarella
