General Notes

Lovely brunch restaurant, situated sort of between the Mission and the Castro. They also have another location in Oakland. They've got most of your typical brunch dishes, often with a slightly Californian (whatever that means) or Asian flair, including interesting dishes like ribeye omurice and pork belly rancheros. It can definitely get pretty busy, although I came a little bit earlier (11am on Saturday) and barely had to wait. By the time we left the restaurant at around 12:15 though, there were tons of people outside.

Negatives

> They're pretty aggressive about pushing you out of the restaurant once you've finished your meal so that they can serve other customers. Don't expect to stay in here for more than 90m during peak hours.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ Millionaire's Bacon (flight) -- sampler of Original Millionaire's Bacon, Citron Bacon, Cinnamon Bacon, and Rosemary Bacon. They were all pretty solid, I appreciate how it's clearly quite fatty (it's bacon, after all) but doesn't feel greasy.
  • ★★★★ Mascarpone Stuffed Deep Fried French Toast -- served with mixed berries, Vermont maple syrup, honey butter. This is delicious; love the flavor and deep frying it is a nice touch; gives it that nice crisp.
