General Notes

Excellent new restaurant near Alamo Square Park that specializes in udon. The food is delicious. The udon has a lovely chewy texture to it, and the other components are prepared well. They also offer an assortment of tempura / fried dishes, which are all cooked really well, definitely give that a try. Great option for a more casual everyday meal out.

Negatives

> The portions are not particularly big
> Their hours are pretty strange, they're closed on Sundays are only open for lunch from Wednesday through Friday.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★☆ all star bukake -- (cold) thinly sliced beef, ontama egg, tempura shrimp, 1pc karaage, negi, ginger, served with broth on the side. Udon texture was excellent, broth was good, I think it had a touch too much ginger but that's a minor nit.
  • ★★★☆ chicken karaage -- super tender + juicy. decent flavor, it's on the lighter side
  • ★★★☆ shrimp tempura -- solid tempura
  • ★★★★ kakiage -- perfectly fried, super savory
