General Notes

Time Out Market is a really nice complex (kind of like a food court, but more like a bar and more elevated) that features all kinds of restaurants, including some of the best in New York. Juliana's is one of the restaurants on the fifth floor rooftop. This is a bit misleading because there is literally a Juliana's a few minutes away by foot. Regardless, the food is excellent, the environment is nice, and the views are great! I have to say though, when I imagined "rooftop restaurant" I expected to be above everything, which was obviously not the case. Nevertheless, Time Out Market is a nice place in Dumbo and I would recommend giving it a try.

> Interestingly, I checked the website for the actual Juliana's restaurant, and the food is much cheaper at the Time Out Market location. There is, unfortunately, a smaller selection of items available though.
> The food is great! The crust is nice and crisp without being hard or dry. I personally would have liked to see a bit more tomato sauce on the pizzas, but the flavors generally work well.

Dishes Tasted
  • ★★☆☆ Pizza No. 2 -- Grilled chicken, mozzarella, Monterey jack, white cheddar, housemade guacamole and cilantro. I felt that the flavors didn't quite meld properly, particularly the guacamole, which felt out of place.
  • ★★★☆ Pizza No. 4 -- Tomato, mozzarella, arugula and prosciutto.
  • ★★★☆ Margherita Pizza -- Tomato, mozzarella, and basil.
  • ★★★☆ Homemade Meatballs with Tomato Sauce -- Excellent meatballs. Great flavors and the texture was good as well. The meatballs were moist and not dry nor crumbly, and the tomato sauce had a good consistency.
