General Notes

Apparently a really famous pizza place, and hailed as one of the best pizza restaurants in New York. The texture of the crust is really nice and crisp without being hard or tough. The first time I went, I did not enjoy it very much (probably because I didn't order the right items), but Joe's Pizza has started to grow on me. It's still not a place that I would go out of my way to go to (there are better options), but few pizza shops can provide the quality Joe's Pizza does at its price point.

> The texture of the crust is excellent. It's nice and crisp without being hard or tough.
> This is one of the few pizzas I've had, which I didn't wish there were more tomato sauce on. Nice and acidic.
> Very affordable - two or three slices is a pretty significant amount of food, which should set you back no more than $10 or so. That being said, it is still relatively expensive for a casual pizza shop.

> The flavor profile of the pizzas aren't always executed with precision (perhaps with the exception of the supreme pizza, which tastes really nice. In particular, the dough and the tomato sauce are nice, but some of the toppings could use a bit more flavor or seasoning.

• ★★★☆ Supreme Pizza -- The toppings are very flavorful, and the entire slice is harmonious. Delicious!
• ★★☆☆ Fresh Mozz Pizza -- Decent; one of the few pizzas I've had that I didn't wish I had more tomato sauce.
• ☆☆☆☆ Sicilian Pizza -- I didn't like this very much. Bland and severely lacking in textural contrast. The cheese was all coagulated into one unappetizing clump at the top.
• ★★☆☆ Caprese Pizza -- Decent flavor, but the mozzarella specifically was really underseasoned/bland. The basil didn't feel fresh nor did it have a particularly strong flavor. I felt the tomato also had a bit too much of a raw, watery edge to it. The texture of the crust was really good, and not quite like other pizzas I've had though.
