General Notes

I saw this place first on Eater, which recommended their pastries. Unfortunately, I had a somewhat disappointing experience with the pastries and sandwiches at Jane the Bakery. There were definitely some highlights (e.g. the cardamom bun was fantastic), but most of the items felt somewhat stale and honestly not executed all that well. To be fair, I did come here at around 1pm -- by that point a good portion of their items had sold out and they'd probably been sitting out for a while. Regardless though, I think there are better options for bakeries out there.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ Roasted Cauliflower Sandwich -- Decent (the cauliflower itself has a nice flavor), the egg is a bit of a weird addition, and the bread was somewhat stale.
  • ☆☆☆☆ Sweet Scone (chocolate?) -- This was really dry and stale. It didn't have the buttery texture that I would hope for in a scone at all.
  • ★★☆☆ Apricot Bar -- Not particularly noteworthy, but overall well-made and pretty good.
  • ★★★☆ Cardamom Bun -- Really tasty! Nice texture, cream is delightful, and the cardamom flavor adds a nice touch.
