General Notes
A hidden gem in the Outer Sunset. Delicious, comforting food at some of the most affordable prices you'll ever see. When I visited in June 2022, there was not a single item on the menu above $10. And their portions are pretty generous. To be honest, I have no idea how they make money. They're most well known for the savory pancakes (definitely try the beef pancake, a classic!). Their hand pulled noodles are also pretty solid. It's become my go-to place for some comforting, cheap food if I'm in the area. Definitely will be returning if I'm in the area to try their other offerings.

Dishes Tasted
- ★★☆☆ 猪肉馅并 -- decent; not my favorite dish but pretty good nevertheless
- ★★★☆ 白菜猪肉水饺 -- not particularly noteworthy, but all-around solid dumplings
- ★★☆☆ 葱油饼 -- Fairly standard, doesn't actually have much scallion flavor actually. Somewhat dense and has a nice crispy texture, but could use a little more savoriness, overall.
- ★★★★ 鱼香茄子 -- Really nice flavor, stir-fried well. They hit the texture on the nail -- not too mushy, and not too hard either. I'm generally not a big fan of eggplant, but this was done well. Interestingly, it also didn't have a particularly strong eggplant flavor.
- ★★★☆ 牛肉手擀面 -- The beef was fairly tender, and overall the broth and noodles are delightful. A huge portion, like the lamb noodle soup.
- ★★★★ 干煸四季豆 -- green beans are cooked well, and the minced garlic + soy flavor is nicely balanced
- ★★★☆ 羊肉手擀面 -- Lamb is flavorful and tender (and a pretty generous portion too), broth is delicious. Noodles are slightly overcooked, but the texture is overall quite nice -- the inconsistent texture is pretty indicative of hand-made noodles.
- ★★★☆ 牛肉卷并 -- Pancake has a perfect crispy texture while being substantial. Nice balance of flavor with the sauce. I wish there were a touch more beef, but otherwise a great dish and a must-try.
