General Notes

Hook Fish Co is a seafood restaurant in the Outer Sunset, pretty close to Ocean Beach. Their seafood is incredible; definitely some of the best seafood that I've had. The seafood is prepared simply and well, and you can really taste the difference. I will definitely return to try some of their other offerings; perhaps after a run around Golden Gate Park.

Positives

> They have bottles of carrot habanero sauce, which has a delightful flavor and went wonderfully with the burrito!

Negatives

> This place is very, very popular with limited (entirely outdoor) seating. There's a lovely parklet, but it's always packed. If you go on the weekends, expect to "hover" around waiting for a seat to open up.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★★★ Fish & Chips -- incredible fish; perfectly cooked & fried really well. I like their tartar sauce a lot too. Their fries are decent.
  • ★★★☆ Burrito -- black beans, rice, avocado, pico de gallo, pickled slaw, spicy aioli, ling cod ($2 extra). The individual components were relatively "clustered" together, which actually made for a pretty cool eating experience. I love how the seafood flavor permeated into the rice (you could _definitely_ taste the flavor in the rice)
  • ★★★★ Poke + Chips -- albacore, chili tamari marinade.
