General Notes

Apparently Hakka (客家) is an ethnic minority of people who live in the southern part of China, and this restaurant has some of their specialties (plus, a bunch of other standard dishes that you might see at a Cantonese restaurant). It's okay; decent but not particularly noteworthy. It seems very quiet all the time, I came here on a Friday evening and it was basically empty. It's super close to the ocean though, a pre-dinner / post-lunch stroll along the beach / through golden gate park is nice.

Dishes Tasted

  • ★★☆☆ House Special Pan Fried Tofu -- I like the texture, the pork filling is ok, it's a little under-seasoned though
  • ★★★☆ Sauteed Chinese Broccoli with Rice Wine -- Sauteed pretty well, I like the flavor on this, it's lightly sweet
  • ★★☆☆ Chinese Bacon with Preserved Green -- 梅菜扒肉, pretty good, not particularly noteworthy though
